OPEN STUDIO As
we approach the end of the calendar year we open the doors for your self-directed worktime, creative time and perhaps, much
needed work space.
We have set aside five Tuesdays and two Fridays in November, along with two Fridays, three Sundays
and three Wednesdays in December, all designated Open Studio days. (See specific dates listed below.)
You've taken the classes, the workshops, gaining the information, the skills necessary, now it is
time to apply yourself, do
the work, or the fun part . . . and just Create !
Now is the time you wanted, the time to come back and just work. It often happens in
our classes and workshops, people form friendships/bonds/etc, this is a perfect time to gather together once again, renew
your friendship and share the work you have done since last you were together. Besides, you can help each other remember
that special technique or method you were so pleased to learn . . .
Reserve your space for a morning, an afternoon or an evening.
Three hour time commitment is required, between the hours of 9 am and 9 pm. (typical time slots but not restricted to are;
9-12, 1-4, 6-9) You
are required to register in advance so we can control workspace needs and participant numbers, thus providing sufficent room/equipment
to work. Due to the limited number of participants accepted per day, you may hold your spot with a $30 non-refundable/non-transferable minimum payment.
Fees are based on individual needs of the Whispering Woodlands
facility and equipment. These are the same we use for our Flex Time Fees.

Book Structures: Paired Needle Binding Jackie Hefty
It just sounds difficult, not really so hard, but it gives you bragging rights! You will be sure to impress your
friends or family with your bookmaking skills when you show them this creation. An exposed stitching design on the spine of
the book resembles a herringbone pattern. This book is designed to lie flat when open which allows for ease in drawing
or writing. Makes a great gift! Previous book making is recommended, but not required. Minimal supplies are necessary to continue
making beautiful books at home. Class sizes are limited. All materials needed are included but suggestions for personal embellishments
are provided in the supply list. Thurs Nov 3 1-4 or 6-9 $65
