a medley of art making experiences, Mini Samplers, (WW Mini (s))
our term for a ‘make n take'.
Opportunities to try a new medium or
technique without committing yourself to a full day or weekend. Perhaps you have always been curious to try a new art form
(a few examples are: papermaking, still life drawing, collage, jewelry making, preparing your own supports for painting,
inexpensive framing options, or letterpress printing) yet did not feel you could commit to a weekly schedule, a weekend
or even a full day. This
is the opportunity for you! Whispering Woodlands Mini samplers WW Mini (s) are offered in a variety of time slots; mornings 10-1, afternoons 1-4 or 12-3
and evenings 6-9, structured
for your busy schedule, Develop
your interest and skills at your own pace. Typical Fees $30/$5 materials/shop fee Programs offered as Inter-generational, (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, & mature young person, ages 7-15) noted as such. ( 7-15 yrs $20/$5)

WW Mini Paste Papers Jackie Hefty Enjoy this fun decorative paper technique as you create
unique designs. Sometimes referred to as 'adult finger painting', you will find it just that liberating. Children would find
this engaging as well, but we're keeping this much fun for just the adults this time.You can enjoy doing this at home with
them another time.

Dyeing Briony Jean Foy
Protein fibers like silk and wool require an acid based dye to achieve rich color. Learn a
simple and safe way to dye those materials using a microwave or stove top. Dye your own silk or wool
roving, floss, yarn, ribbon, or fabric. Any white, off-white or light colored materials can be dyed or over-dyed in
solid or variegated colors. Sun Sept 12 1- 4 $35 (Minimal supplies to bring: assortment of white or light wool or silk fabrics and yarns to dye)

Mini Felted Brooches and Embellishments Briony Jean Foy
Combine needle felting and wet
felting to make charming pins, buttons, and flower embellishments out of scraps and snippets. You can add buttons and
beads or add more details with embroidery - it's up to you! Sure to be all the rage, great gift giving idea, never too soon

Broaches Supply List to bring: Assortment of roving, felting needles, a small piece of
2 inch foam, a dish towel and sheet of thin plastic (grocery bag or dry cleaning bag), a small sushi rolling mat or bamboo
place mat, a 12" wooden dowel (1-1/2" diameter), a few rubber bands, and maybe some scraps of ribbon, lace, yarn,
thread, etc. *If you are not able to purchase these supplies, Briony can provide if notified for an additional fee.*

A shortened version of our day long workshop, Paper Pulp Play. Wet, Wild, Refreshing and Fun! Good
clean fun with many artistic possibilities. You will be immersed in the paper making process from start to finish. Learn techniques
of pulp preparation and sheet formation that you can do at home, requiring a minimum of supplies and equipment. Explore pulp
painting, embedments, stenciling, pressing, drying and more. Suggested items to bring from home, available upon registration,
allow you to Recycle, Reuse or Repurpose, join us as we explore the possibilities of this Green art form. (Parents and/or Grandparents enjoy time with your special

Send unique
letterpress printed greeting cards this year. In this mini workshop you will turn the crank on the Vandercook press to produce
an assortment of individualized letterpress printed cards. (Recognized by the impression left on the paper along with the
ink, as it rolls across the type or letterforms.) You will go home with several unique cards that you can proudly say you
printed. Choose from several designs and papers. No two need be alike. All supplies included in base fee. Additional unique
