Perspective Drawing

Drawing Skills: Learn Perspective  Kay Brathol-Hostvet

One of the most frustrating things for beginners and intermediate artists is getting the perspective right in a drawing or painting. This process-oriented workshop will show you the "secrets" of linear perspective through demonstrations, in-class projects and handouts to reinforce what you learn.  We will also explore unusual point-of-view, atmospheric perspective and other techniques that help create the illusion of depth on a 2D surface.  See supply list for your required materials.

Fri Dec 3  9 - 4:30 $95/5 materials

Painting the Winter Landscape in Acrylic Kay Brathol-Hostvet

Capture the beauty of Wisconsin winter in acrylic!  Working from photographs, learn to paint in the a la prima style-quick, loose and very expressive. Acrylic's water clean-up, and quick-drying characteristics allow for almost immediate changes. Several exercises will help you loosen up before working on your small canvas.  All skill levels are welcome but previous drawing and painting experience in any medium is helpful. See supply list for your required materials.     Sat Dec 4  9 - 4:30
