DRAW, PRINT, SMILE ! Pronto Plate Lithography with Barry Carlsen

No processing. It's that easy! All materials supplied just bring an idea. Eliminating the chemicals, processing time, costs, and technical difficulties associated with traditional lithographic or intaglio printing. Beginning with some history of lithography and a short series of technical demonstrations, followed by the majority of time involved in creating a small black and white artist's edition.  (A follow up workshop, Creative Monoprints, Sat. Sept. 15, can be combined/utilized to add color to the edition by monoprinting, combining additional color plates and/or hand-coloring techniques.)  No past printmaking experience is necessary.   Materials and technical handouts will be provided. Students should come prepared with some ideas to pursue. Class size is limited, register early.   Fri Sept. 14  10-4:30   $125/20 supplies  (additional materials will be available for purchase on an individual as needed/interested basis)
